First International Ai Treaty So On Sep 5, the USA, EU, and UK signed the "Council of Europe’s Framework Convention on Artificial Intelligence", marking the first legal international treaty on AI. The major points written in this treaty are 1) Signatories must conduct assessments to identify how AI technologies might impact individuals and society and and take measures to reduce risks. 2) AI systems must respect fundamental human rights, and individuals can seek legal actions for violations. 3) Ai shouldn't affect democratic institutions like elections and the justice system. 4) People have the right to know when interacting with AI and to challenge its decisions. 5) Separate organizations must be formed to monitor how AI is used and if someone is harmed because of ai, they deserve to seek for justice 6) Signatory countries can adapt their implementation strategies based on their specific needs and contexts. Although, It's SAID that these rules apply to all companies and government, it also says that National Security may not have to follow them. What do you think?
