Now, this post is serious. Please take the time to read it properly. As you know, Medial is a new-generation social media platform designed for discussions about startups, business, technology, ideas, problems, and related topics. However, if you observe closely, a considerable portion of the posts on Medial are off-topic. By "off-topic," I mean posts such as: 1) This picture shows what a cotton factory looked like in 1950. 2) I'm looking for an internship in X genre (post about it in Medial job posts). 3) I'm proud to share that I'm attending Y event today. 4) Day 8 of learning web development. 5) I just hit 100 followers on Medial organically! 6) Look at this tweet by Elon. 7) Do you like my work attached below (and similar) 8) Promoting your other social media accounts here. And the list goes on. While I understand that some of these posts are genuinely interesting, but they are not meant for Medial. If you have ever used Reddit, you know their guidelines are so strict that they don't allow posts outside their specific categories. I once posted about Medial Startup Showcase in an Entrepreneur subreddit, and it was removed within a minute with the comment, "This really looks like an awesome thing, but it's against our rules." If Medial were to enforce such strict rules, at least 50% of the posts would be removed. I understand that Medial will not be so strict and will allow related content, but that doesn’t mean we should post anything. Also You are not alone in this; even I have made such off topic posts too (and I'm guilty of this too). Sometimes, we find things that are really interesting and want to share them. Thus, We use anonymous accounts to post so that no one knows who shared it. We also sometimes just post to win the creator program, but if you review the creator program's guidelines, you'll see they emphasize exactly what I am trying to highlight in this post. Therefore, making random posts won't help you win. Thus, I request that you please avoid posting irrelevant content here. I may sound rude, but if you cannot follow these guidelines, please stop using Medial. For Medial, Quality >>>>>> Quantity. Medial is undoubtedly the most promising social media app, and it's truly proud to see an Indian app making waves globally. However, this won't happen if it continues like this. So, a humble request: please stick to posting content meant for Medial and avoid posting unrelated material. Also I have a suggestion: Medial could introduce another pod say "Other," where users can make such posts. The catch would be that these "Other" posts won’t appear on the main home page and would need to be accessed manually (by clicking on the pod button). This would not only let people make such posts but also keep Medial's content good. I think this could help. I would also ask Niket to make a list of topics he actually wants to be on Medial. This would be very helpful. Regards, A Proud Medial User :)
