What do you think is why GIFs never took off as an entertainment vertical? (They are disposed of as chat accessories.) Please share your views.

Right. Art works the best in clues. GIFs are complete. The missing piece of the puzzle was/is the individual interpretation. Just as it is with the meme culture. Spin your experiences with random meme templates. I guess the upside is bringing a level of creativity to mix reality with imagination. It didn't click as it demands core level of creativity, not just laughs. I think Gifs are from some other time and the evolution on our side (Human side) didn't happen. Thank you.
