If shoes clothes etc can have their own brand store, why are daily consumables always sold in a super market format competing with each other and the store owned brands? How about building a brand that sells all necessary daily consumables under its own brands only just like we see nike shops selling tshirts. Placing these shops in middle to lower gentry places so they can enjoy the lower prices as no money will be spent on branding, advertising and other expenses but only on packaging, product and transport?

last i spoke to my cigarette shop owner, they earn 1 to 1.5 rs on every cigarette sold. It's so easy and convenient to just sell things that are already selling fast than to complicate things. Generational company banani hai ya aajse agle 10 saal tak achhe paise kamaane hai?

Stores earn money on goods sold but if you build your own stores, then sell your own products, people don't know your products and hence won't trust it to buy it from you. Don't you think so?

Operating your own store is difficult. Not everyone can open one, it requires a dedicated retail wing to manage all offline stores. And Already Many consumable companies, like Patanjali, have their own stores that sell all their products under one roof. And maybe ITC would have one also.
