According to police, the car lost control, veered off the road, and crashed into a concrete pipe, after which it caught fire. The fire almost completely destroyed the car, and the driver unfortunately died at the scene. The causes of the loss of control are still unknown. The publication Electrek notes that only Tesla itself conducted crash tests of the Cybertruck, and independent experts did not conduct their own tests.
