In most developed asian economies it is pretty efficient. But out here I think there is a mix of both of these kinds of economies, and necessary to some extent as well.

This is all pretty new for me but from what I know farmers in India have been using this for quite some time. I even heard somewhere that in UP some Panchayats or NGOs have started helping farmers with these kinds of services too.
