How is introducing downvotes in the startup showcase Suppose an individual has the ability to downvote five ideas per day that they believe are overhyped and pointless. In my opinion, acknowledging and downvoting for the truth is equally as important as praising and upvoting for it. We do not want overhyped products on the list of top ten.

Yeah this sounds better.This might encourage healthy competition and evades unnecessary value less ideas. It will make those who pitched their ideas to rethink whether they are right.

Interesting idea, more likely there should be discussions between the startup founders and the upvoters or potential upvoters on why their product should be pitched.
