A study in the US found that online grocery shopping requires 125% more labor compared to in-store shopping. The time ranges from 0.7 to 37.4 minutes depending on where the order is picked and how it is delivered to the customer. In India, it will be interesting to see how offline retailers respond to the rapid growth of quick-commerce. Many retailers are offering online services without considering this impact at present.
