How did Medial got it's first 1) 1000 users 2) 10K users 3) 100K users Which strategy worked for each stage?

I think Medial team should also do something like this to gain traction from different parts of the world about their platform. This ad is like my favourite marketing strategy ever!

It's a tactical strategy to make consumer stay on platform it gives audience sense that they are getting something back from company it's a good strategy if you know ad based revenue model you will probably know the value of attention ecomomy it's go

What dooes the Medial community think about this strategy? I'll go first, I'm not sure about the effectiveness of it, I mean won't you the decision maker have a biased view even if you're thinking from a customer's pov.
