It's incredible how rapidly quick commerce has taken off in India. Amazon showing interest in Swiggy's instamart: Everyone seems to wants a piece of the pie. Most people thought that QC can never be economical, and understandably so (Extremely tough to operate and profit). 🚚Zepto, Blinkit, Instamart seemed to have found their target consumer - - Young and tech-savvy professionals - Looking to save time and for convenience - Urban Dwellers ⏩A few key points - - A dark store covers a radius of ~5km or less - Once the dark store receives the order, time limit for packing is 1.5 min per 5 items (increases by ~10 sec per additional item) - Delivery partner wait time at dark store is 5-7 min at max - Delivery partners fulfill anywhere between 1-3 orders at once Flipkart wanted to invest in Swiggy and Zepto, but now is coming up with their own -> Flipkart minutes. 💡Deloitte is predicting that Quick Commerce will be a $40 B market by 2030. ▶️ Saw two zepto riders with super cool raincoats. They were all praises for them!

Blinkit, Instamart and Zepto are dominating the quick commerce space, while Tata and Reliance backed players are struggling This makes me sad looking at Dunzo's position now. It was the only option and life saver during covid times.
