It's incredible how rapidly quick commerce has taken off in India. Amazon showing interest in Swiggy's instamart: Everyone seems to wants a piece of the pie. Most people thought that QC can never be economical, and understandably so (Extremely tough to operate and profit). 🚚Zepto, Blinkit, Instamart seemed to have found their target consumer - - Young and tech-savvy professionals - Looking to save time and for convenience - Urban Dwellers ⏩A few key points - - A dark store covers a radius of ~5km or less - Once the dark store receives the order, time limit for packing is 1.5 min per 5 items (increases by ~10 sec per additional item) - Delivery partner wait time at dark store is 5-7 min at max - Delivery partners fulfill anywhere between 1-3 orders at once Flipkart wanted to invest in Swiggy and Zepto, but now is coming up with their own -> Flipkart minutes. 💡Deloitte is predicting that Quick Commerce will be a $40 B market by 2030. ▶️ Saw two zepto riders with super cool raincoats. They were all praises for them!
