How much money do you think CrowdStrike cost its customers when its systems collapsed last week, essentially shutting down the world for a few hours? The company itself seems to think it can be measured in $10 increments. The cybersecurity firm has been emailing clients to apologize for the "inconvenience" it caused, and added links to $10 gift cards. Wrote the company's chief business officer: "Your next cup of coffee or late night snack is on us!" Even that, however, was too much for some recipients. They reported that their gift cards weren't valid.
