What exactly does it mean when people say ‘your pitch deck has to say a compelling story?’ What kind of story and why? If we make it like a typical story, won’t it look unprofessional?

Investors bet more on the founder than on the idea. A compelling story is indicative of the fact that the founders have a passion to grow their startup. Also, there should be a FLOW to the pitch deck. Not just randomly arranged slides

Hey Karunya! Astonishing to see u on medial, here's my view tho, when people say "your pitch deck has to tell a story" they mean it should engage audience by clearly outlining the problem, your solution, market opportunity, product features, competition, funding needs and more afaik. Read the book 'pitch anything' by Oren Klaff for more understanding on this topic. See ya in insti 😪
