Moving beyond the usual finance books, I'd recommend "The Physics of Wall Street" by James Owen Weatherall. It's a fascinating look at how ideas from physics have transformed modern finance. Also, "The Money Formula" by Paul Wilmott and David Orrell offers a critical view of quantitative finance.
