Today I had a word with an old client of mine who runs an outsourcing and offshoring consulting firm. I asked about what's new in their field. So, he mentioned that foreign companies are now switching to countries like Phillipines and Jamaica for their outsourced work. I asked why and he told me the crux of all the answers he has received from these companies is that, in some way or the other, the Indian firms/people had tried to scam them. And those who haven't, had a very laidback behaviur towards work, quality of work has been like that of a school kid. India has lost what it was famous for. There are thousands if not lacs of such outsourcing firms in India who are facing such issues because of free money culture people have. Similarly, in my initial days, I also faced such issues. They're like, "how am I gonna trust an Indian sitting in India" until I got my 1st client through a referral and then here I am, having 400+ clients expanding globally.
