An entrepreneur needs to be very thick skinned and resort to logic vs. emotion. From an ideation standpoint, what matters is whether your idea has Product-Market fit, and if someone has negative feedback then why is he/she saying an idea won't work. If the TAM (Total Addressable Market), TSM and TOM is large enough with few competitors/an opportunity to build features that are not currently available in the competitor's product, it makes complete sense to go ahead.
