š¤ÆRecent unverified reports claim that a hacker has gained access to Airtel India's customer database, comprising details of 37.5 crore users. The database allegedly contains customersā mobile numbers, dates of birth, fatherās names, Aadhaar IDs, email IDs, and more. According to the reports, the hacker is selling the database on a hacking forum for $50,000 USD (Rs 41 lakh), to be paid in cryptocurrency. The hacker, who goes by the alias āxenZen,ā further shared that the breach occurred in June 2024 and reportedly shared a data sample. Airtel, however, has denied the claims, saying, āThis is nothing short of a desperate attempt to tarnish Airtelās reputation by vested interests.ā The telecom operator further stated that it has conducted a thorough investigation and can confirm that there have been no breaches in its systems.
