I am not against ur parents but would definitely suggest you that your further life is yours, not your parents... If you choose ur career according to them, you probably going to regreat... So choose what you are pasinate about... And as for your parents, don't stop to convence them with your full potential... I hope they would definitely be agree with you and will start supporting you.
