5 reasons you'll hate working at a start-up as a fresher. 1) most of JDs you'll read from startups, especially pre-seed, are vague not by design but simply because the org is short of man power and they maybe looking for extra hands and legs and not exactly for an independent brain. 2) you will have to wear multiple hats, this means your reviews are most likely to be a sham. Though you've most more efforts, your worth is value on the outcome. 3) as a fresher, you are less likely to know how to handle professional rifts. And being in a start-up (usually fast paced) makes conversations harder. 4) there is virtually 0 mentorship. Founders, seniors and your course from 'employee benefits pack' won't help when you are already struggling to figure where the org is headed. 5) figure out if a start-up has a business, I mean, are they making money. If they aren't, then you are a cost item on the excel sheet. Come join me 'at north' for more!
