Do you think that free water bottle marketing can work in India, as it is pretty successful in USA... And also can new SMMA's be formed around this type of marketing?

It's hard. As firstly there are ton of those people who would just keep taking the free water sample (for selling later) So it's profits are derived from ads and it still looks hard that people would buy those products. Tho if it's distributed only at expensive places like Nariman point (mumbai) , etc. then it may work. One more solution is to advertise and then sell each bottle for 1 or 2 rs(even the manufacturing cost is probably the same)
