What's stopping Indian from making horror games based on local folklores? So I was watching YouTube. And I saw few gameplays of a horror game based on local folklore of Indonesia & Philippines. Why don't any Indian developer or game studio make these kinds of game? I don't think making horror game around some mythical evil creatures like Pisachas, Dayan, Rakshasa, Matia (evil spirits who haunt childrens), Brahmarakshas, etc would be considered controversial. Afterall they are depicted as evil or mischievous in the original folklores as well. You can find mentions about tons of such creatures in various part of India.

It's not possible because currently Indian games developers are not much innovative and knowledgeable for these kinds of things. Needs huge funds for making 3d realistic horror games

I don't think the problem here is controversial but just bcz it's games. In India games industry is very ignored for some reason. May be due to high production cost but I personally really think with proper creativity someone can definitely find cheap alternative solution.
