Engineering OR MBA⁉️ It actually makes sense, because what I think is in engineering you learn a very necessary skill which is critical thinking and problem solving which is the core of engineering where MBA is diversed subject. Although, MBA people have a huge impact on the startup especially in Management team but as founder you have to think very critically , have a very sharp mind to solve problem , tolerance and have patience which engineering teaches very well as it's all what needs to be engineer. Definitely these traits are required to be founder, don't misunderstand that you have to do engineering to become a startup founder. It's all how your brain is sharp and your cleverness. The critical thinking point is rightly mentioned! More than any other profession I believe engineers have the most crazy brains and if their ideas are rightly put into to use they will just need some others to operate their idea as a business that's it!

This is a surprising trend, as MBAs are often seen as the traditional path for business leadership. But I think reason for it is, Engineers have a strong understanding of technology, which is crucial for many startups today. They also are be good at problem-solving and innovation, which are essential for creating successful new businesses. Also IIT's are also reason , roughly 42% of all unicorn founders in India coming from IITs. Around 60% of the total engineer founders in Indian unicorns are IIT alumni.
