But the fact is since this type of content addresses and pleases the basic impulses…it flourishes…BeReal was an app that tried to be an “Instagram Killer”, but as expected it failed. This is because that is not what a user wants…no one wants to face reality, they just want to fee good and for the content creators that post this stuff, they just want societal validation by seeing their freinds do the same on their social media

I would love to take a deep dive into BeReal's rise and fall, thanks for sharing. Yes, people do not want to face reality, and the point is that these platforms have everything(I saw TikTok CEO defending tiktok as it is also a good source of STEM(educational content)). So assume you want to be saner, and after spending a lot of time watching meaningless reels, you went to NASA feed(take anything meaningful as example) for some good content. Overall , this loop between dopam ine and divine may appear balanced and enj oyable, but in reality, it is facade, it is decaying your capabilities and your life's critical time day by day.
