As someone who generally keep doing market research on different products and companies. I have learned survey are the least effective way of doing research bcz most of the time user don't fill survey or those who do fill are just filling it for the sake of person asking them to fill the survey which generally not very effective. So what to do? Find people whom you consider to be your customers in future. Reachout them and just talk regarding them asking various questions not just yes/no but open ended questions. This is the best method of doing research it's take lot of time and efforts but gives the best result also.

Agreed that's why I ask apart survey because I totally don't want to be depend on survey results
