Originally a cotton-spinning business, they later established cotton and textile mills. After the partition, they relocated to India and started working as rice and oil traders. The company's first unit was opened in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, and they launched their iconic rice brand, India Gate, in 1998. Today, KRBL Limited is one of the world's largest rice exporter firms, with a valuation of Rs 9,398 crore according to a 2022 report.
