WTF is Commodetized Business ⁉️ A commoditized business in the startup ecosystem is basically a business where the product offered has become a commodity, that means that it is replaceable with similar products or services from other players in market, and often have to compete with low profit margins. Let's take a startup that offers a cloud storage service. In the previous days, this service may be unique and differentiated from competitors. However, Now the market has matured and crowded , cloud storage has become commoditized business and is really hard to build brand here! In the context, they may differentiate themselves through MOAT ( if possible ) unique customer service/experience, innovative features , exclusivity or something additional .
