Hey guys heard of FanCode? FanCode, a sports streaming platform in India, was founded by Yannick Colaco and Prasana Krishnan to address the issue of limited access to sports content beyond cricket and marquee events. Inspired by their personal experiences and passion for sports, they identified a large fan base for various sports and saw an opportunity to leverage digital infrastructure and mobile phones to provide coverage for under-served events. Despite initial challenges and competition, FanCode managed to gain significant success with over a million users for the Bangladesh Premier League and eventually secured investment from Dream Sports. The platform also focuses on grassroots sports development and offers merchandise for fans. FanCode aims to expand beyond mobile devices and connected TVs, hinting at future plans to reach a global audience.
