Life of a freelancer - My personal experience I thought to start my freelancer journey and registered myself on fiverr and upwork platforms and started publishing gigs. It took lot of time to get the first client. Also, after having experience with discussing various clients all around the world. Here are some negative things irrespective of having 5 star ratings from clients One client sent a file mentioning requirements, but I felt fishy and opened it on incognito with all security on, it is a virus and luckily my system is strong enough to block all those. Also, being a freelancer, every client asks me to prove that you're trustworthy by asking me to do something free, so that they will believe. Once I taken a landing page design and sent him. The client is like no, I want the exact page not a demo. I can't do that for free, so I ignored. Some clients ghosts after the deal done, this is impact my timelines which I freezed for that particular client. Due to limit, contd in comments.

I think it’s a lot about luck when you’re freelancing.. there are several factors which define how your Clients are, mostly dependent on your work, and driven by networks then on.

Also, I'm pointing out only negative scenarios here. Don't misunderstand me. Fiverr will take a cut of 20-25% and conversation from USD to INR is extra. I also been as client for some deugging work where I'm tight on deadline. I found freelancer who just gave a template to explaining how to do work😂. Then I asked for revision, he sent the same file to me and marked completed. Some people asks me $120 for debugging 50 lines code😂. So, this is the reason why clients are little hesitant to trust. After all these, I moved out of freelancing platforms and trying to create a brand DePixel which can be trustworthy enough to clients and as well as startups with intiative to being a technical partner helping them or either managing whole technical side of their startup.
