OpenAI just made "Deep Research" available to Plus users.
Why? Because Perplexity, Grok, and others already offer similar Feature for free.
This is why competition matters...better features, lower prices. If OpenAI had no competition, you'd be pay

Hi Niket team, why there is such a huge delay in app releases, there are still so many bugs and issues to fix as well as features users are requesting from long time. We haven't heard from any major fixes for long time now
