My manager assigned to me a different work after promising that he will not pull me to the old assignment again. The earlier job is very physically challenging and also effected my fertility due to use of chemical exposure. But now since some employees are on long leave and few retired, he sent me message that he need me to pull back to old job. My wife suffered 11 miscarriages with both of us having fertility issues. After I changed my job profile, my fertility has improved. They may fire me if I refuse to move to old job profile. I am not understanding how to deal this situation. He is asking to work on my promotion to next grade and then saying that he shall look for a position for me.
