Choose NextJS bcz I also done with MERN and when I stared learning NextJS it get easy to understand bcz we completed with MERN specially with REACT, so if you done with basic MERN then blindly go with NextJS. As a market value, if you google it then Avg MERN Developer Salary - 4-5 lakhs Avg NextJS Developer Salary - 20-23 lakhs.
