Disconnected from internet because it helps keeping hackers away and ensuring privacy of secrets to some extent. As for US Armed forces, they are always decades ahead in every technology. DARPA practically built the internet we use today. Similarly they have legit scouts who are always going through research papers and student projects that has potential. That way they are involved from seed stage and being a gov agency, unlimited funding and R&D. Thoughts?

It just to show the public , US intelligence is almost 20-30 years ahead of commercial technologies. DARPA develops it when they see that they have a much better technology than that, they commercialize it to private players.
