I used to be such a Sam Altman fanboy but all this shady stuff with OpenAI has really soured me. The NDA drama, lack of transparency, and cavalier attitude towards safety standards is not a good look. For someone hyping AI ethics so much, he seems surprisingly unconcerned with actually upholding it

For all OpenAI's ostensible commitment to beneficial AI, their actions aren't matching the words lately. They need to hire more seasoned leadership to rein in Altman's erratic behavior and enforce rigorous safety protocols.

I don't buy the argument that it's AI safety vs. making progress. OpenAI has massive financial backing - there's no reason they can't do both safely and transparently.
