Did you know Steve Jobs was a reality bender? 🤯 Steve Jobs had a legendary "Reality Distortion Field" that could convince anyone to get done of anything In 1984, During the development of Mac, Steve Jobs challenged an engineer, Larry Kenyon, to reduce the boot time by ten seconds. Kenyon initially dismissed it as impossible, but Jobs posed a hypothetical question- "If you could save somebody's life by cutting ten seconds, could you do it?" With that perspective, Kenyon committed to the task. Jobs then illustrated on a whiteboard how 5 million users wasting an extra 10 seconds booting would equate to 100 human lifetimes lost every year. Driven by this profound realization, Kenyon dedicated himself to the challenge. Within a few weeks, he came up with a new code that reduced 28 seconds of boot time. This is an example of an extraordinary visionary who believed there's no limit to getting better and there's no absolute impossible.
