Do you remember the ice bucket challenge? - I believe everyone of you have heard about this challenge but have you heard about ALS - no this is not a challenge this is a nervous system disease that weakens muscles and impacts physical function. In this disease, nerve cells break down, which reduces functionality in the muscles that they supply. The cause is unknown. Although treatment can help but this condition can't be cured. It has been estimated that around 75,000 to 1,00,000 people with ALS live in India. And ALS affects an estimated 4,50,000 people (controversial) worldwide with an average survival rate of just two to five years. and here comes NeuroSense Therapeutics (israel based) - a clinical-stage drug development company, which is trying to find a treatment for people living with ALS, as well as other neurodegenerative diseases. They are focused on creating combined therapeutic strategies, targeting the multiple pertinent mechanisms in these complex diseases. Thank You.
