" Moon mining startup Interlune wants to start DIGGING for helium-3 by 2030 " โ— Interlune, a startup with $18M funding (including Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian's firm), aims to be the first private company mining helium-3 from the Moon for Earth's fusion reactors, medical imaging, and quantum computing. Helium-3, trapped in lunar soil by solar winds, is inaccessible on Earth. Interlune's harvester will extract it and ship it back.
