I've got a startup idea and I need your validation. --- Xpedia: Swap, Sell, and Buy Books Easily... BookXchange is a platform where you can: 1. Swap Books: Like Person A has read a book and want a new one and person B has also read his book and want a new one. Our platform would connect these two and let them exchange the books for free or at the minimum refurbished fee (if the book is damaged). 2. Publish Books: Underrated Writers can publish their books and reach more readers. 3. Sell Used Academic Books: Students can sell their old textbooks to juniors at low prices. 4. Buy New Books: Buy new books online if you want a fresh copy. ---

This sounds good but there are some problems due to which many platforms like this haven't scaled up much 1st the customer retention cost is higher as compared to other platforms 2nd in monetization you are left with very few margins and can only earn through publishing books(but in publishing there are other companies which are providing better services then you) If it has only this feature then you should make a website only & dont focus on making app Hope it helps and I haven't demotivated you

The idea looks good but only problem is here is delivery cost. It would start from 50₹, and then after adding your app's commission. The consumer would hardly save 100₹ on a 300₹ book Correct me if wrong

A great Startup idea. If it happens, many people would get to read books who can't afford expensive books, the underrated writer would be able to publish their books. It would be a great Startup if happens.

Swap books concept will not work as per my opinion reasons below 1. Price Descrepacy between book to book 2. The one who truly love to read books mostly prefer to maintain the book collection not to give away
