Being atheists doesn't means they don't admire there culture, see in India you can find people that do not follow hindu rituals, technically they are atheist but they celebrate Holi and other popular festivals. You can be Atheist while admiring and protecting your traditions. Do not mix culture and religion. Majority of Chinese people are Atheist but they celebrate their festivals like spring festival, Xi Jinping himself celebrate many Chinese festivals.
