It's can be depend on person by person Like if you read financial books from classical writers like "Nepolian hill" , "Robert T Kiyoshaki" etc.... then most of moder financial books will be a garbage for you. If you start reading classic lictrature by Kafka or Fyodor Dostoevsky then most of new lictrature will be a garbage for you.
