I have an hypothesis. Soon there will be a rise of "daily services". Already seeing it with food delivery (Zomato Everyday and Swiggy Daily) and will soon come to ride-hailing(๐) and quick commerce. This will not replace on-demand but will complement it and provide a backbone for the companies. On-demand services are expensive and hard to make money due to technology required and operational complexity. Daily subscriptions will provide the opportunity to consolidate multiple orders, do the computational and operational planning only once or only when there's a discrepancy, and provide a steady monthly higher revenue per user. Also it will provide the best UX for customers. You create a subscription once and forget about it, your service is delivered on time everyday. No need to open the app again, it just happens.
