"There will be low cost space flights by 2030" "RCB will win the trophy in the next decade" "India is likely to become a super power in 2030" "If you're 23-25 you will get married in the next 3 years" . . . The list goes on these are vauge predictions, no matter who tell them. Wheather it's a professional business/cricket/economics expert or just an engineer like me. We can't validate such predictions. If forecasters were right what get back to time when stock markets crashed? What they predicted? Ofcourse a boom. This is the forecast illusion from the book "The art of thinking clearly" All forecasts have slimmest of probability and media highlights only things that give TRP. It's our role as a consumer to educate ourself ☕
