They should actually, they have the risk taking ability and try giving life to some value based startups which cannot be acknowledged by the VCs. Like dhoni did Garuda, one body exercise startup etc. but some are doing pan masala ads and ranting on youger cricketers.

I think they might have thought ki ek early stage funding se zyada toh inki per match fees hai. Waise dekha jaaye toh in the coming future they can be billionaires. Like literally. Think about it. If kohli starts now, he can practically be bigger than any angel investor, angel investor ko maaro goli richer than some venture funds.

What if they don’t actually invest but get stakes just to make the startup names popular that after getting famous they get funded by other angel investors and they get a boost in sales.like harshad mehta did artificially increasing the share price By getting a stale for free😂

Startup is the Great but Risky investment. These investing on startups is good news as it brings more funding and support to whole startup ecosystem in India.
