I think people are less creative due to outdated education system.

Actually my friends are trying to bring a manga it to our university level . If our university gives funding will try at district level. Hope they like it 🤔

I don't think that's the exact problem with Indian anime , especially what u said that India have only focused on mythology, bcuz i have searched a bit and I have found several animes , which is not based on mythology, let me list some of those .... Roadside romeo (2008) Delhi safari (2012) Goopi gawaiya bagha bajaiya (2013) Etc.. The problem I have found was that , there is no regularity in realising anime series or movies , instead there is a launch after a period of 10 years or even more . Also the second problem are audience, like India is rich in culture, folklore and mythology, even if have noticed japanese animes they don't just focus on normal lifestyle but they always connect their culture with a modern touch , like i have not seen any Japanese anime which have not include their culture. And actually they have succeeded in making such beautiful animes , because they have shown their beauty of culture and their audience have appreciated that a lot , unlike Indian audiences.

Lack of stories is one of the major problem There are some comic artists in our country also but the story comes in only those repeated topics like Mahabharata, ramayan or just pure action. There is neither romance, drama, normal any story about the real and connective lives. If only people upload their works in a quality amount with the most basic need of stories then people would also like to read and watch their works.

Funds, story and audience

Vision + story ( we already have many good story ) + Funds + audience ( not many people watch anime , but it's changing ) I'm sure now it's perfect time to start homegrown anime shows , If someone says we don't have talent ,that's a false statement.

Maybe no one is trying out

Story, creatives and funds sab kuch hai. Audience is also there. Somehow still no one is willing to create something new

Potential bhi hai, loog bhi.. however there is no one to initiate.

The story we have is already mahabharatham but the main thing is the funding and the audience!

The thing is literally everyone here is wrong, and I mean it. We have published comics and Animation stories, go see indrajeet the valiant and karmachakra on youtube and cosmics entertainment and raj comics or yali dreams creations. The thing is y'all care just about anime and western stuff, and indiananimatorsb lack nothing, these are the ppl on whom marvel disney relie, but y'all arent ready to spend on indian shows and manga.
