They are literally bragging about their funding and luring people into getting a free chat or whatever. Is so manipulative, where some guys pretending to not know about it when they are clearly getting paid.

Shady business tactics. I am surprised how investors gave them 160 Crores for this scam.

astrology is there since ages. whats the matter? giving rose won't make your bond more strong but its sense of believe same is the stones and nakshatra. not all things can be validated based on science.

Recently watched Gyan therapy video about astrotalk He explained very well about it.

Fear and hope is a good business in India

Firstly they are doing everything legal and nothing wrong with that if they are exploiting customer like other customers. Firstly they are not doing business for Donations or any NGO work. They are heavily funded and profitable.

I would suggest reading Why From Nigeria research paper by Microsoft Research(it's freely available) It really esplain why scammers do certain things. Tl;Dr Their ads look like scam because they want them to be so that they don't get people like us on their platform questioning and they are the worst since people use things like astrology at their worst, they are attacking these people at their lowest when they have probably lost their whole world.

Here's the thing, it's not a scam. The astrologers in the app are genuine. BUT, the marketing tactics of Astrotalk is disgusting. It's actually worse than just the marketing because the people will have misconceptions about Astrology and label the practice itself as scam and fraud. I hope the management soon realises this or they will surely have a downfall.

I feel these apps are kind of addictive if they get any positive response from astrologers. I have heard that all astrologers give positive responses because of rating...you can't really trust. The kind of advertisements of Astrotalk seems fraudulent...(ex : What is my ex thinking about me 😅, when will I get married and stuff) And only reason this app is successful is the mindset of ppl to get to know stuff which they can't see. There is song in kannada that says.. Check for past life...research about future...and let the present get fu*k up...that's the life...it's dumb

I'm surprised on the ignorance of the people here. I will not comment on astrotalk, there could be good and bad things in their approach. First of all astrology is not fake, it is completely related to astronomy. I'm an engineer and a founder, I would not belive anything without logic. It is science and can predict many things, a horoscope can't be written without considering latitude and longitude of place of birth, so these parameters were used in this science even before west could understand it. Of course there are so called astrologers who take advantage, but tell me which industry doesn't have bad people? You see it in education, healthcare, politics, corporate, NGOs and what not. Let's not generalise and ignore the science behind it. What that company is doing is legal, How do you justify dearm 11 and similar companies ? Of course there is no comparison at all in Anu dimention. So get your self education before coming on anything

Even my mom fell for it and defends it a lot because they always keep selling her hopes. That things will be good in future, do this pooja etc etc. They have cleverly tapped a large market.

Really pathetic how they are fooling helpless students and heartbroken people. I think someday they will have to pay for their scam. Supreme Court of India should look into this matter. There has to be a collective outrage against them to shut this scam down.

They are targeting gullible people.
