The I-400 class submarinen of Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) were the largest underwater aircraft carrier and remained the largest ever built until the construction of nuclear ballistic missile submarine in the 1960s. They also carried torpedoes for close-range combat Fast-forwarding to 1945 in just 3 years Japan had successfully created two I-400 Submarine aircraft carrier however after Japan's surrender these Submarines we seized by US who destroyed it immediately (well at least they say so).
