I have been working in this industry for the past 2 years. Such BS projects get funding from big VCs. What I've noticed is it all depends on your network among the VCs and alike, your pitch and the founder's capability of doing something. Its mostly the network referral and the founder's capability that works the most!!

I was actually wondering if investment from any investor also means he get gets a share from the profit of the company, Say, if an investor buys 20% stake of a company, does it mean he also will get 20% of the profits earned by the company?
