Depends pretty much on founder actually. If he is very cheapstake and wanted success early he will squeeze you death. Else if he looking for long term then he will pay a reasonable salary and have a reasonable hours of work. Don't work in a very cheap or less salary company. Whatever the role, whatever the condition is.

See there is no work life balance. If you are in early age i.e 22 to 32 then you must work at least 12 to 15 hour a day, because you don't have responsibilities. Exceptions are always there. But to succeed you must work harder than your limit.

Early stage startups never have any WLB. It's a myth. Once they grow a big larger (post Series A maybe) things become stable and you can expect WLB.
