Tsubame - this Tokyo, Japan based start-up is transforming Science Fiction into Science Reality. It has created a real life Transformer/Gundam named Archax. The Archax is a four-wheeled, 15-foot-tall and 3.5 tonnes mech. Its cockpit features a series of monitors that display live video from external cameras to the pilots and the pilot can control the Archax's arms and hands in 'robot mode' with a pair of joysticks and peddals. There's also a 'vehicle mode' where this 3.5-ton mech transforms into "vehicle mode", and can move at speeds up to six miles (10km) per hour. The company hopes to sell 5 units with aspirations of the Archax being deployed in disaster relief or the space industry. By the way, an Archax will cost you only $3 million. But, honestly, can you really put a price on a dream? Thank You. And here's an image of Archax in Robot mode - there is not much difference in appearance in Vehicle mode, isn't it increadible?
