SaaS pricing isn’t the real problem, Everyone debates monthly fees. Nobody talks about dependency cost once automation touches revenue. That’s where it gets interesting.

Should devs really care about the revenue, lot of ideas if implemented could be useful for many but it wouldn't be really profitable. Basically good will projects.
