I dont think thats a good idea because most of the kids nowadays (12-16 age ) have good and expensive phones and they dont want any restriction on their phones. So how would you takle this issue?

Selling the devices within school curriculum. When you ask kids to do homework they won't, but what ask them to play games like cricket in mobile but in different way (something like mathematical calculations game) and compete with other children.

Yes that's absolutely correct but I think that will probably work for age group of 7-12 years. And the device should be affordable, like if you are going to targer middle class people anything above 4000rs won't sell as we can't force them for devices in school
