When I Started to learn about startups I was wondering how bigger companies like zomato,Flipkart are lossing millions even though they are well known well established companies but I came to understand when our college organised a event where students can do any business like cafe etc. So myself with my friends started a food stall so as to acquire as many customers we gave them free juice for every customer and many comba offer for so much of discount and did lot of marketing such as posters,Referals and we have made a friend stand at the entrance of the auditorium to give people of small token where we mentioned about the free juice and it was a great success everyone walking into the auditorium came to our stall first and we sold many numbers of products that even our competitors sold only 50-60% On our numbers. But still we made loss But won the event only then I came to understand the Customer Acquisition Cost(CAC) and reason for loss in big startups.
